HSbooster.eu is taking part in the Sustainable Place 2022! Renowned for showcasing results coming out of the EU Horizon 2020 Framework Programme via the participation of cutting-edge research and innovation projects, the scope of Sustainable Places is captured directly in its name. It involves designing, building and retrofitting the places we live and work more sustainably.
The 10th annual edition of Sustainable Places (SP2022) will be a hybrid event, from 6 to 9 September 2022, with the in-person sessions hosted in Nice, France.
Sustainable Places prides itself on being an ideal platform for the dissemination of research, the conduct of workshops, EU project clustering, and networking between stakeholders of all types. SP2022 will be held over four days in a hybrid (digital + in-person) event format. Between the opening and closing keynote sessions, parallel technical sessions and project-organized workshops will explore the various conference themes.
HSbooste.eu at Sustainable Places Conference
On 7 September 2022, HSbooster.eu, the new service for Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020 projects that will support their ability to uptake Standardisation, will be participating in the “AI and Ethics in Manufacturing” workshop session at the Sustainable Places Conference in Nice, France.
Artificial Intelligence is entering many different sectors, not least manufacturing. The collection of large quantities of data can generate powerful outcomes, as AI can influence not only processes and products but also how people work and interact with each other. Furthermore, AI can acquire sensible data, which could influence people’s behavior by implementing logic and decisional processes that are not fully transparent to humans.
These aspects are controversial, stimulating debates and requests for regulations, codes of conduct, and standards, in addition to greater demand for trust and transparency for any AI-driven service.
The scope of this workshop will cover the experience of developers, end users, standardization and legal experts.
