The HSbooster project is set to participate in the prestigious 30th ITS World Congress at the Dubai World Trade Centre, United Arab Emirates, from September 16th to 20th, 2024. Organised by ERTICO and hosted by the RTA, this premier event for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) will bring together professionals from the mobility, technology, and policy sectors to explore and showcase advancements in smart mobility.
HSbooster.eu as Standards' Enablers at ITS World Congress
As part of its contribution to the Congress, HSbooster will be prominently featured in one of the key sessions titled “SIS 34 Beyond 5G System Modelling: Standards as Enablers.” This session, led by Eusebiu Catana from ERTICO, will take place on September 17th, 2024, from 14:00 to 15:30 (Asian/Dubai time or 12:00-13:30 CEST). The session will focus on the evolving business models within the 5G/B5G ecosystem, drawing on Alexander Osterwalder's framework from "The Business Model Ontology: A Proposition in a Design Science Approach" (2004). Discussions will centre on how value is created, delivered, and captured by various actors within these advanced technological landscapes.
Joining the session is Maria Giuffrida, a Senior Researcher at Trust-IT Services who brings extensive experience in EU-funded projects related to ICT, standardisation, and education. She will emphasise the critical role of standards in the 5G/B5G ecosystem—standards that are essential for ensuring interoperability, maintaining global consistency, accelerating innovation, and driving economic growth. These standards also play a vital role in enhancing security and reliability, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a stable environment conducive to investment.
As 5G and beyond technologies become increasingly integral to daily life, industry, and infrastructure, this session will underscore the importance of collaboration across diverse ecosystems to fully harness the potential of these emerging business models.
