CS-AWARE-NEXT

Project Name: Dynamic cybersecurity management for organisations and local/regional networks based on awareness and collaboration

Description

As part of the project activities there is the evaluation of standardisation potential and stakeholder outreach.

This is an activity that starts by Month 24, will run for the entire third year of the project, and will be concerned with identifying and evaluating the potential of the framework defined in T5.2 for ‘cybersecurity information sharing and threat intelligence for organisational and local/regional cybersecurity management’ to become an industry standard or industry guideline. The multi-stakeholder nature of information and threat intelligence sharing requires its large-scale adaptation by cybersecurity applications for it to become relevant in practice, increasing the importance for standardization.

Communication with relevant standardisation bodies (e.g. OASIS for potential STIX2 protocol extensions) has been identified as relevant in order to evaluate interest, requirements and procedure, however, we see the need to increase our awareness about the different possible options and ways to proceed.

Reason for applying to HSbooster.eu services

Identify and evaluate whether the project framework or parts of the framework have the potential to become industry standard and how best to prepare for this, given the capacities of the consortium and the partnership.
