In the dynamic landscape of innovation, establishing a robust link between research endeavours and standardisation processes is paramount to ensuring that cutting-edge discoveries find their way into practical applications. Since 2022, HSbooster.eu has been piloting a future Standardisation Booster which brings EU projects closer to the world of standards to help foster best practices and create better impact for research results. By providing direct contact with standardisation experts as well as a series of support facilities such as events, workshops and online support, HSbooster.eu works to bridge the gap between research and standardisation.

The role of HSbooster.eu
HSbooster's Signe Boegh from the Danish National Standardisation body Dansk Standards presented a series of findings and recommendations based on the experience of HSbooster.eu project. The recommendations considered different aspects of the booster such as the experiences both of experts delivering support and project abilities to deliver on their recommendations, the importance of cooperation between different stakeholders and the impact that a booster service can have on the research community as a whole.
"We are developing a first draft of high-level recommendations on how the future HSbooster.eu should look like in the future - Boegh said. We have currently come up with seven key recommnedations that will be finalised in September 2024. The final recommendations will be unveiled during the HSbooster.eu impact event in Brussels in mid-September 2024."
