Description

ASRO, the Romanian Standards Association, was established on 31 October 1998 as a specialised private, not-for-profit body of public interest, authorised by the Romanian Government to serve as the National Standardisation Body. ASRO represents Romania in European and international standardisation organisations including ISO, IEC, CEN, CENELEC, and ETSI.

ASRO coordinates national input to international standardisation processes, provides access to standards, offers accredited certification services, and delivers training and publications. Its members span industry, research, public authorities, consumers, universities, and certification bodies, reflecting a broad stakeholder base engaged in standards development and usage.

HSbooster’s cooperation with ASRO is centred on strategic stakeholder engagement and continuous dialogue. Through its partner Dansk Standard, HSbooster has established direct touchpoints with ASRO as part of Work Package 4, which is dedicated to engagement, monitoring, and fostering pan-European synergies within the standardisation community. This ongoing communication supports HSbooster’s mission to maintain an updated and accurate understanding of the national, European, and international standardisation landscape.

A key aspect of this cooperation is the active involvement of Speranța Stomff, Head of Project Management Office at ASRO, who serves as a member of HSbooster’s External Advisory Group.
