SecOPERA

Project Name: Secure OPen source softwarE and hardwaRe Adaptable framework

Description

SecOPERA aims to provide a one-stop hub for complex OSS/OSH (Open-Source Software/Open-Source Hardware) solutions delivering to a connected device designer, implementer, and operator as well as any open-source software/hardware developer, the means to analyse, assess, secure/harden and share open-source solutions as those are integrated in an overall complex product developed for a networked connected environment. The SecOPERA hub offers to the open-source community a framework supporting the open-source DevSecOps lifecycle and generates secure open-source solutions along with appropriate, verifiable security guarantees.

The standardisation objectives of the project include:
(i) monitoring of new developments to existing standards, development of new standards especially those with strong link with the open-source communities (e.g. RISC V, OASIS Open, Open-source)
(ii) alignment with existing standards during the lifespan of the project both from the individual partners’ teams and the project development (e.g. ISO26262, ISO90001, IEC80001-1:2021, ISO27001, IEEE1012-2016, ISO/IEC/IEEE42010: 2011 and ISO9004:2018);
(iii) contribute to existing open-source and open hardware standards, through the participation of partners in various committees (e.g. CFI SIG/RISC V, CACAO TC/OASIS Open, J-WG).

Reason for applying to HSbooster.eu services

To seek assistance from experts in the field on monitoring new developments in existing standards, aligning with these standards throughout the project's lifespan, and contributing to open-source and open hardware standards. This involves the active participation of individual partners' teams and the project development in various committees, such as working groups or technical committees. Additionally, the aim is to identify the most suitable standards for our project.
