RDA TIGER

Project Name: Research Data Alliance facilitation of Targeted International working Groups for EOSC-related Research solutions

Description

The RDA TIGER project provides support for Research Data Alliance Working Groups, which are groups of research data experts from the global RDA community, working to solve specific challenges related to research data. The RDA processes lead to official RDA Recommendations, which sometimes take a form of technical or policy templates, technological solutions etc. Many cases these became de-facto standards in the research data area, and are widely applied in this context.

In some cases these Working Groups can create solutions which have potential to become actual standards, and the Working Groups are asking for additional support to find out how this could be done in practice. In the first stage, even knowledge  on the current standards pathways would be very useful, and they could inform the supported Working Groups on these processes.

On the long run, the RDA Association and Foundation are interested to provide such support for the Working Groups, so more direct engagement with the relevant Standards Organisations would also be very useful and within the remit of the RDA TIGER project goals.

Reason for applying to HSbooster.eu services

Currently, they lack the knowledge of the overall standardisation processes related to research data, and the connectivity to the relevant bodies.
