OntoCommons is an H2020 CSA project dedicated to the standardisation of data documentation across all domains related to materials and manufacturing.
OntoCommons lays the foundation for interoperable, harmonised and standardised data documentation through ontologies, facilitating data sharing and pushing data-driven innovation, to bring out a truly Digital Single Market and new business models for the European industry, exploit the opportunities of digitalisation and address sustainability challenges.

We would like to learn about standardisation bodies and related processes in the domains of interest of OntoCommons and explore possibilities for joining relevant standardisation bodies and, eventually, initiate standardisation processes.
Main Standardisation Interests
OntoCommons is about developing industrial ontologies for applications in the domains of materials and manufacturing. Standards are required in two directions: 1) principles and methodologies for ontology development and 2) the ontologies themselves: architectures, languages, quality, etc.
