Project Name: EuReComp - European recycling and circularity in large composite components
Description
EuReComp is an EU funded project focused on circularity, aiming to develop sustainable methods for recycling and reusing composite materials from industries like aeronautics and wind energy. The project's objectives include innovative dismantling and sorting systems, higher product reuse, pilot demonstrations of recycling approaches, and environmental impact assessment. It aims to reduce landfill waste, promote circular composites, and create new business opportunities through advanced technologies, benefiting SMEs and the energy industry's sustainability.
The objectives within the Task 8.4 of the EuReComp project are to:
- Identify related existing standards.
- contribute to the on-going and future standardisation developments.
- collaborate with a Standardisation Body (e.g., ISO and CEN) to gain insight into the standardisation system and its internal procedures.
Reason for applying to HSbooster.eu services
EuReComp constitutes an EU funded collaborative research project with a strong focus on circularity, set out to provide sustainable methods towards recycling and reuse of composite materials, coming from components used in various industries, such as aeronautics and wind energy. Hence, the booster services will facilitate the choice of appropriate standardisation for the particular R&I project.
The first aim of Task 8.4 is to identify related existing standards within the EuReComp project. Therefore, the booster services will help the consortium to identify, search for, and select appropriate standards to achieve the goals of the EuReComp project.
The second goal of Task 8.4 is to contribute to the on-going and future standardisation developments. The consortium of the EuReComp project will benefit from the booster services since they can help it to identify the needs for new standards. Moreover, the booster services will assist the consortium in proposing new standardisation items to the technical committees of interest.
The last goal of Task 8.4 is to collaborate with a Standardisation Body (e.g., ISO and CEN) to gain insight into the standardisation system and its internal procedures. Thus, the booster services will provide the appropriate information to the consortium on how to get engaged in standardisation as an observer or participant. More specifically on how to influence the processes and the outcomes of standardisation.
