ARISE

Project Name: Agile, Human-centric and Real-time Open Source Technologies advancing Industrial HRI in Europe

Description

ARISE Summary

The ARISE project envisions a near future which aligns with Industry 5.0, prioritising, resilient, sustainable and human-centric work environments. In such a future, companies recognise that investing in industrial human-robot interaction (HRI) is essential for achieving better short- and long-term goals, rather than a cost. Industrial HRI establishes its position as a game-changing asset that enables seamless collaboration between humans and robots on complex tasks, allowing them to work together. On its way to materialise a such vision, the ARISE project will: i) address major application challenges from today´s industry, ii) develop human-centric solutions, tools and software modules which expand the state-of-the-art in industrial HRI, and iii) deploy industrial HRI at scale in four testing and experimentation facilities and more than 20 workplaces across Europe thanks to a funding support to third parties (FSTP) scheme.

Standardisation Objectives:

The project aims to ensure adherence to relevant standards by initiating dialogues with relevant bodies to share potential findings and innovations. Partners will actively monitor the activities of standardisation working groups, policy bodies, alliances, and associations related to project actions. The task will involve:

  1. Inventorying existing associated standards or pre-normative actions affecting the developed solutions to identify any deficiencies or inadequacies in current standards or pre-normative proposals.
  2. Contributing to the definition and proposal of new standards, pre-normative actions, or amendments to existing ones by partners involved in working groups.
