ASI – Austrian Standards International

Austrian Standards

  • National Standards Body

Description

The Austrian Standards Institute (ASI), Austria’s national standardisation body, plays a key role in linking Austrian stakeholders with international and European standardisation efforts through ISO and CEN. As part of its mission to bridge research and innovation with the standards landscape, HSbooster.eu has actively engaged ASI in its broader outreach to National Standards Bodies (NSBs) across Europe.

The cooperation between HSbooster.eu and ASI has centred on strategic dialogue and stakeholder engagement. ASI has been part of HSbooster.eu’s efforts to create touchpoints with the European standardisation community, particularly through participation in strategic meetings such as the CEN-CENELEC STAIR (Standards, Innovation and Research) working group. These platforms enabled exchanges on standardisation priorities, facilitating alignment between ongoing research and evolving standardisation needs.

Representatives from ASI have also actively contributed to HSbooster.eu events and webinars. Their involvement has enriched the discussion on the evolving standardisation landscape and helped shape the HSbooster.eu consultancy model. By providing expert input, ASI has supported the alignment of EU-funded research projects with relevant standards and standardisation pathways.

This collaboration highlights the key role that national standards bodies play in bridging the gap between research and market-ready innovation.
