HSbooster.eu has participated in the 30th ITS World Congress in Dubai, the leading global event for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The Congress, organised by ERTICO and hosted by RTA, serves as a dynamic platform, bringing together industry experts, policymakers, and stakeholders from around the world to discuss advancements in smart mobility and innovative technologies. With up to 20,000 attendees, 160 sessions, and 650 international speakers, this event is set to bridge the worlds of mobility, technology, and innovation.
Maria Giuffrida, HSbooster Deputy Project Coordinator, held the session SIS 34 Beyond 5G System Modelling: Standards as Enablers on 17 September. This session, held from delved into the pivotal role of standards in the 5G and Beyond 5G (B5G) ecosystem, exploring how they create, deliver, and capture value across various industries and sectors. "HSbooster brings R&I projects closer to standards by bridging critical knowledge gaps and supporting long-term standardisation processes", Giuffrida says. Our services offer expert guidance tailored to both ongoing and closed projects, helping carry forward efforts even after the project concludes."
As the global landscape of 5G/B5G evolves, the importance of standards cannot be overstated. They are key to ensuring interoperability, global consistency, innovation acceleration, and economic growth, all while maintaining security, reliability, and regulatory compliance. This session highlighted the emerging business models in the 5G/B5G space and discussed how standards are essential for enabling new business opportunities and fostering investment in future technologies.
The ITS World Congress exploreed these critical topics and engaged in a global dialogue on the future of intelligent transportation and sustainable mobility. This has been an opportunity for the HSbooster.eu team to showcase the results of the project, its current activities and the ambition of the mission underpinning the overall project.
All the actors working for a EU-funded project on smart mobility are invited to apply for the HSbooster.eu's support services in advancing standards.
