HSbooster recently hosted a series of online workshops designed to bridge AI standardisation expertise with sector-specific knowledge, aiming to foster innovation, efficiency, and harmonisation across industries.
The workshops were organised in collaboration with two of HSbooster’s Pool of Experts (EPE): Isabel Caetano, Chair of the Technical Committee for AI at IPQ, and Dr. Farshid Amirabdollahian from the University of Hertfordshire. Together, they guided industry leaders, policymakers, and EU-funded project teams through emerging AI and standardisation challenges, providing a platform for critical discussions.
The series covered a range of topics, including sector-specific challenges, AI ethics, and the implications of AI and standards for SMEs. Participants explored real-world cases from sectors such as healthcare, energy, and manufacturing, gaining insights into how AI standards can drive ethical AI systems and support regulatory compliance, particularly in line with the EU AI Act.
