CEN and CENELEC are now accepting nominations for the 8th edition of the Standards+Innovation Award — and HSbooster.eu is encouraging its beneficiary community to put themselves forward.
The award recognises researchers, innovators, and educators who have made standardisation a meaningful part of their work. This year's edition covers four categories: European R&I Project, Individual Researcher/Innovator, Young Researcher, and Education. HSBooster is collaborating with Standards + Innovation, and believes its beneficiary community — researchers who have already taken concrete steps to connect their findings with standards — represents exactly the kind of work the award is designed to celebrate.
If you have worked with HSbooster.eu to identify standardisation opportunities, developed research outcomes that fed into standards, or integrated standardisation into your project strategy, this is the moment to seek recognition for it. Standards contributions are too often absent from CVs and institutional assessments despite their real value to European industry, policy, and society. The S+I Award exists to change that.
Each CEN-CENELEC member may submit up to two nominations per category. Both ongoing and completed projects are eligible. The call closes on 15 July 2026.
The Education Award will be presented in Brussels on 25 November at the final event of the Edu4Standards.eu project. Dates for the remaining ceremonies will be confirmed in due course.
Nomination templates and full details are available on the CEN-CENELEC website.
