HSbooster.eu Training Session's standardisation in practice entitled "Towards a CEN-CENELEC Workshop Agreement" took place on 14 March 2024 from 10:00-11:30 CET.

This training session aims to support R&I projects in enhancing their understanding of the CEN-CENELEC Workshop and CEN-CENELEC Workshop Agreement (CWA). It addresses key questions such as how to initiate the CWA process, what prerequisites need to be met, and the required resources, and provides advice from experienced research projects.

  • Fernando Utrilla - Head of the Research and Innovation Department at UNE, the Spanish Association for Standardisation. Mechanical Engineer with 23-year experience in managing standardisation activities and 12 in European projects. Project and portfolio manager, trainer and advisor on the use of standardisation in R&I activities. Expert in the CEN & CENELEC Group STAIR (Standardisation, Innovation and Research).
  • Raquel Portela - PhD in Chemical Engineering and Tenured scientist at the Spanish National Research Council – Institute of Catalysis and Petrochemistry (CSIC-ICP). Coordinator of H2020 CHARISMA project on Raman harmonisation, and participant in several other running European projects. Dr. Portela has 20-year experience in research of air pollution control by (photo)catalysis and adsorption and in optimization of catalytic reactions of industrial interest.
  • Javier López-Quiles - Architect and Building Engineer, Master degree in Engineering applied to Cooperation. Currently project manager at the Spanish Association for Standardisation (UNE), managing national and European technical committees for the development of standards related to construction products, and providing expertise to R&I and international cooperation projects concerning standardisation activities.
